Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word format on the provided author manuscript templates.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The formatting requirements are per the recommended Author Guidelines.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Types of Evidence-Based and Scientific Research

The JCPR is committed to publishing high-quality research that aims to improve psychosocial health and well-being. We accept basic and applied research of the following types: Qualitative research, Quantitative research, Mixed-method research, Review studies, Book reviews, and Opinion papers.

Submissions

The JCPR provides all authors with journal publication templates.

All submissions can be submitted on the online platform or alternatively be sent to JCPR@nwu.ac.za.

The following formatting requirements as set out below must be adhered to.

Two separate manuscripts must be submitted:

  1. Full manuscript.
  2. Blinded manuscript (all identifiable information be removed).

5000 – 7000 words (excluding the reference list).

Abstract

Maximum of 250 words
