iThemba Projects works in the misty hills of kwaMpumuza, commonly known as Sweetwaters, in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands, South Africa. What started as a church initiative, has grown into a multifaceted project based on the premise of ‘community for the community’. The interventions developed at iThemba Projects not only uplift the community but also facilitate the growth within the community in a self-sustaining manner. This showcase article aims to evaluate and promote the ideas and interventions used by the iThemba Projects to inform researchers, stakeholders, and community workers so that future research, interventions, and projects can follow the success of the iThemba Projects
