About the Journal

Focus and Scope
Global Perspectives in Information Literacy (GPIL) is an open-access online publication platform for researchers concerned with research, policy, and practice in meta-literacies and information literacy.

Our journal provides a platform for cutting-edge research in Meta-literacies and information literacy, and we welcome contributions from researchers, scholars, and scientists worldwide.

Publication Frequency
GPIL is dedicated to publishing approved manuscripts twice per year. Additional special issue volumes may also occur throughout the year.

Article Processing Charges (APC)
There are no article processing charges with GPIL after the final peer review and the editorial board's approval.

The GPIL does not charge article submission fees.

Peer Review Process
All submissions to GPIL will undergo a double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers. GPIL is committed to maintaining a fair and independent review process.

GPIL is also committed to submitting manuscripts to independent reviewers with relevant knowledge and expertise in applied research methods and the topic at hand.

The editorial board has the right to make the final decision about publication in GPIL based on the recommendations of the independent reviewers.

Open Access Policy
GPIL is dedicated to advancing open-access publishing and supports the publication of full-text research manuscripts.

Licence
Under the CC Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International Deed, the original author retains the copyright and all associated rights. The license permits others to:

  1. Share: Copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.
  2. Adapt: Remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially.

However, those who use the work must provide appropriate credit to the original author, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. This ensures the author's original work is properly acknowledged, allowing for widespread use and adaptation. The author retains ownership and can still use their work in any manner they choose, including licensing it under different terms.

Archival
All content is archived in the PKP Preservation Network (PN) and in LOCKSS or CLOCKSS archival systems.
