Read more about Journal LaunchThe International Journal of Indigenous Language Media and Discourse (IJILMD) aims to provide a research platform for critical engagement with issues relating to indigenous language media, diversity, identity and multiculturalism accommodation issues involving indigenous people and their cultures. Areas of focus include indigenous language media, diversity, struggle and injustices of the indigenous people that are not often documented in much of the mainstream literature. Although our core target field will be Indigenous language/minority language/ethnic media, the journal will also cover issues in the sub-disciplines of media studies, languages, multiculturalism, cultural studies, identity and diversity studies. It aims to create a space for scholars and practitioners involved with issues affecting indigenous people worldwide, including their well-being and multiple oppressions. The journal will accept original articles (empirical research, theoretical and book reviews). On certain occasions, the journal will also publish special thematic issues.
